• Congressman and former Speaker of the House.

• Early endorser of DONALD TRUMP in the 2016 primary. After his election, MCCARTHY was called one of Trump’s “closest allies in Congress” by the Washington Post.

• Joined nearly 140 Republicans in challenging the 2020 election in support of TRUMP.

• McCarthy re-endorsed TRUMP in the 2024 election.

CONGRESS:

• As Congressman, MCCARTHY voted for multiple bills that caused Americans to lose Medicaid coverage and that cut food assistance to families, and slashed corporate taxes.

• Introduced legislation to spend $25 billion for a border wall.
